 For practical learning last term we hand sew headphone bags

I chose these patterns because they looked good together and they looked nice

The part I found trickiest was sewing the letters on my bag

The part I enjoyed most was sewing the cord in place.

I am proud of my headphone bag!

 

cross country

"Yay its cross country. I'm so excited I cant wait!", I thought in my head. Finally we were there... we were about to start and I was feeling so scared. We took off as fast as lightning! I was really tired on the second lap. I was sprinting as fast as lightning when I could see the finish. I came third and I was so proud.

Fact or fiction

Here are my three paragraphs describing my holiday experience.can you guess which are fact or fiction .

Water Cycle

Me and my class did a water cycle experiment and this is what we had to do. We put water in a zip lock bag and drew on it with a sharpie. Then we filled up a bit of the bag with water and put some dye in to turn the water blue. We put it next to a sunny window. Next the heat of the sun made the water evaporate and turn into a gas. Then the water built up at the top of the the zip lock bag then the water got to heavy. It started to rain (drip down the side) then it went back to the bottom of the bag.

Hockey 2020

When we got out of lock down our class has been doing hockey lessons in the afternoon after lunch, It was really hard for me at start but then I started to get the hang of it and now it is way more fun.

Proud moment

I am very proud of my sporting achievements. The reason is because I came forth in cross country, I am in the inter school swimming team, coming fourth in my tough kids group and getting into inter school athletics. I love sports so much I am  really active and playful, before I compete in any sport events I always have butterflies in my stomach but at the finish line I end up so excited that I want to do it again.

                                                                                                          

                                                  

OBSTACLE COURSE!!!

           Obstacle Course Instructions 

1. Two feet jumping over exercise hurdles.
2. Shoot the netball in the hoop if you fail then its 10 star jumps.
3. Trow the golf ball into the bucket 5 tries if you fail then you crawl under the tramp.
4. Run to the bike and bike to the hopscotch.
5. complete hopscotch and sprint to the finish line.

Tower

For one of the learning at home tasks we had to create a tower that is taller than us. We have heaps of Lego at home. so I used the Lego and my sorting hat that me and my grandma made. It Is really bright, colourful and big I really love It.

Here are some pictures of me up-cycling a few things. I decorated an ugly pot and it is now one of my favourites. I also did tie die with a boring plain white t shirt and I made it sunset themed and I now wear it everyday. I also did a lizard lounge using outside rocks, leaves and sticks, so  lizards can 

chill in my backyard.

SHAPE MONSTER !!!

                

Yesterday I decided to do the shape monster activity from the learning at home sheet. I used things that were lying around in my backyard. My mum and dad decided to also do one. My one is on the left, mums is in the middle and my dads is on the right. My mum looked  for  objects around the house and did hers differently, I think my mums is the best but my mum thinks mine is.

Manaakitanga

Write about a time when you have shown kindness. 

Once one of my best friends hurt themselves very badly while playing on the monkey bars. My friend fell and scraped her leg really bad, it was very deep and bleeding. She couldn't walk very well so I carried her to the office and made sure she was okay.

On the 10th  of march, some kids from Carlton school went to the splash Centre to do swimming trials. It was really fun. Me Lily and Cassady went.We did all types of things like Breaststroke, freestyle and backstroke. In between those races we got some free time. Me and Cassady won heaps.

Our Classroom Flooded!!!

On the weekend it was raining so much there was thunder and lightning. In the middle of the night there was a big boom and a big flash that lit up the whole sky. So I rushed to my mum's room because I knew she had washing on the line and it was about to rain. I was scared so I stayed in there for the night.
On Monday when I went to school Mrs Wilton-Scott told me to get in the classroom through the back door. Later a man came in to the classroom with this weird big vacuum thing it was really noisy. We all went out of the class and played a fun game, then we all came back inside and  he was all finished. We did our blog for a little bit then we went to Mr Ohia. After that a man came in with a fan and put it where it was wet and then he told Mrs Wilton-Scott when to turn the fan on. If you are wondering how our class got flooded Room 7 actually got flooded and I think it flooded so much that it actually went under the wall into our classroom too.  We were all so squished when we were sitting on the mat.
I could not even fit at a table because they all had to many people sitting at them.

Carlton School Water Fight

On Monday we had the best water fight ever after morning tea. There was a slip 'n slide on the field and we did the water fight on the AstroTurf. It was really fun but the worst part was that it was cold and windy. The best thing about it was that I sprayed my little brother Wyatt and he did not even notice me. The thing I enjoyed the most was that I was having lot and lots and lots of fun with my friends. My little brother Wyatt was so hilarious on the slip 'n slide,  he got soap all over his face and I'm a kind big sister so I wiped some of with my hat because I had my hat with me. Wyatt looked really cute and funny with the soapy stuff on his face. We all had lots of fun.
Me and Peyton got cold so we sat where you couldn't get sprayed. There was a warm wall where we were sitting and we leaned against it and warmed us up. Mrs Wilton-Scott took a photo of us. I used my awesome water gun it was really big, Peyton wanted to use it but I did not let her. She was crying like a baby, well, she was not crying like a baby,  i'm just tricking. Me and Peyton had lots of fun. When I did the slip 'n' slide I looked so hilarious my little brother Wyatt laughed so much I was not happy at all. So me and all of my friends and Wyatt all had so much fun.

Athletics 2019

On a nice hot athletics day we did high jump that was the first thing that the eight year old girls were doing. Me and my friend Cassady were so scared when they put the bar higher.  I said you go first but I had to go first because I was first in the line. Well it was not really a line because there was only two people in it. I did not knock the pole down but Cassady did, so my friend was out and I was the only person in the line, so they moved it up a bit more. I knocked it down but it was really high, I landed on the bar. Next we did sprints. my friend Cassady was first at the sprints because she is really fast, I was second.Wow! These shotputs are so heavy, next we did shotput. It was really hard to throw them because they were super heavy but I did really good. I was third at it. When my mum was a little girl she was the best at shotput. I hope I can be as good as her maybe one day.
